Bookkeeper

As a Bookkeeper at Prosperna, you will:

• Maintain and update daily financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Reconcile online banking, credit cards, and digital wallets.

• Reconcile payment gateways including Stripe, PayPal, GCash, Maya, Xendit, and others.

• Record invoices, receipts, expenses, and reimbursements.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.

• Calculating, preparing, and filing government taxes (BIR forms, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).

• Coordinate with external accountants for compliance, audits, and government filings.

• Track subscription payments, merchant billings, and refunds.

• Maintain organized digital financial files and documentation.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.

• Help continuously improve bookkeeping processes, automation, and internal controls.

What experience and skills should you have?

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Assistant, or similar finance role.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.

• Proficient with:

  • Xero (primary accounting system)

  • ZohoBooks or similar bookkeeping tools

  • Online banking platforms for reconciliation

  • Payment gateway reports including Stripe, PayPal, Xendit, GCash, Maya, and others

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• High accuracy and attention to detail, especially in reconciliation and ledger management.

• Ability to prepare clear financial summaries and communicate discrepancies.

• Strong spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets or Excel).

• Experience organizing digital financial documents and workflows.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Bonus: Experience working in SaaS or subscription-based business models and familiarity with automation tools like Zapier or n8n for financial workflows.
